Three Services for Rooms With a Collection
Each service is designed for a different stage in the process of getting a layered room to work well. You choose the one that fits where you are.
Back to HomeHow Kelena Approaches Eclectic Interiors
Every engagement begins in the same place: understanding what is already in the room. Before any new pieces are discussed, the studio looks carefully at the existing collection — its proportions, its tones, the spatial roles each piece currently plays and whether those roles are working.
From there, the work is compositional. A layered room has a logic to it, even if that logic is not yet visible. The studio's task is to surface that logic, build on it where it is sound, and adjust it where it is creating tension.
New additions are sourced as continuations of what is already there, not as statements that compete with it. The result is a room that feels assembled with care rather than furnished in a single session.
Collection Inventory
Document what is present and how each piece sits within the room.
Spatial Composition
Address proportions, sight lines, and the balance of the room as a whole.
Tone and Texture
Consider how colour and material work together across pieces of different origins.
Considered Additions
Add only what the room needs, sourced with a clear account of how each piece earns its place.
Eclectic-Direction Concept Brief
A direction-setting engagement for clients who already have a small collection of pieces they care about and want a room that holds them well. Output is a written brief, a visual direction document, and a draft layout. Particular attention is given to the dialogue between existing pieces and new additions.

- Visual direction document with reference imagery
- Draft layout for the space
- Notes on existing pieces and their spatial roles
- Initial suggestions for any additions needed
Typical Process

- 02Site visit or photographic documentation
- 03Written brief and visual direction prepared (approx. 2 weeks)
- 04Presentation and discussion of the brief
Detailed Eclectic-Style Documentation
Full documentation for an eclectic interior: layout, joinery, lighting, finishes, and 3D views. The package treats existing pieces as primary anchors and lets the new work compose around them. Two revision rounds are included, along with a short reasoning note for each significant choice.

- Lighting layout and specification
- Finishes schedule

- Written note per piece on placement rationale
- Placement visit on installation day
- No markups on supplier pricing
- Local, regional, and online source mix
